The palate is light and lifted with flavors of balsamic strawberry, violet, and an underbelly of earth and herbaceousness. Soft, barely-there tannins and fresh acidity makes this a perfect chilled red for the warmer months! Winemaker Dieter Soelva makes wine in Alto Adige, the German-speaking region of north-eastern Italy near the Dolomites. He vinifies two different Schiava varieties from two different vineyard sites with fermentation and maturation in stainless steel.
